MARIE BRACQUEMOND | SAINT LOUIS ART MUSEUM

MUSEUM ACQUISITION

We are delighted to announce that Still Life with Oranges, c. 1880, has been acquired by the Saint Louis Art Museum during Tefaf Maastricht 2026.

This acquisition enriches the museum’s collections and reflects the growing recognition of Marie Bracquemond’s work within institutional collections devoted to Impressionism. The painting will soon go on view at the Saint Louis Art Museum as part of the exhibition Women Impressionists and the Land, which will bring together nearly 70 works by Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Marie Bracquemond, Blanche Hoschedé-Monet, Eva Gonzalès, Rosa Bonheur, and other artists. On view from October 17, 2026, to January 10, 2027, the exhibition will explore women artists’ relationship with nature and landscape, highlighting plein-air painting as a space for artistic experimentation and self-assertion.

Our sincere thanks to Simon Kelly for his commitment and support in making this acquisition possible.
