Overview

Dawn is that glimmer that appears on the horizon just before the sunrise, a moment of correspondence at the beginning of the day between the illuminated night and the unfolding daylight. Dawn is a meeting, a convergence of these two moments, a birth and a fading away simultaneously, a few minutes of infinity for reunions.

For its inauguration, Pauline Pavec Gallery sought a revelation, akin to a first awakening. It presents "Aurores," a collective exhibition symbolizing the emerging light, featuring works by Claire Chesnier, Jean Degottex, Mara Fortunatović, Sol Lewitt, Robert Malaval, Eugenio Pipo, Jean Von Luger, as well as an on-site installation by Quentin Derouet. This selection outlines the promises and perspectives of the gallery; it is a first glimmer.

With "Aurores," Pauline Pavec Gallery aims to scatter subtle clues and unveil the beginnings of new narratives around discreet works. Dawn coincides primarily with the emergence of light and shadows, and it is when these two inseparable adversaries play together that painting is born. Ultimately, "Aurores" is about shadows and light, hope, and discovery. In each work of the exhibition, in every small gesture, there is the delicate fragility of a beginning, the tremor of the confrontation between two generations.
